Room Rental Inquiry – BIS Irish Hall

The Benevolent Irish Society main floor area is known as the Irish Hall which was completely renovated in 2017.  It is an accessible space, no step at the entrance, a ramp for accessing one of the washrooms and power doors through out.

It is used quarterly for business meetings of the Society but when not being used for Society business it is used for a wide range of activities, Dinners and Dances, Irish Dancing with the St Pat’s Dancers, Irish Dance Instruction, seminars, training sessions, Irish – NL music sessions, Dinner Theatre, Book Launches, Album launches, Baby Showers, the Christmas Raffle, and receptions both formal and informal.  You name it and we’ve probably hosted it!

The Hall itself is about 2000 sq ft (204 sq m), not including the bar area, commercial kitchen, washrooms and storage.

The Irish Hall capacity has been set by the Provincial Fire Marshall’s Office at 136 people seated at tables.  No limits are provided for other configurations but we generally keep within those guidelines for all events.

In support of our Irish Hall rentals, we do for an additional fee, offer the rental of the kitchen and our basic sound system (Amplifier, Microphones and tripod mounted Speakers).

Seating can be arranged in one of our standard layouts, however, you are welcome to provide specific instructions on the layout you require, or, you may access the room in advance of the event to customize the layout to your taste.

Decorating: You may decorate the Hall but decorations may not be attached to the walls.  Decorations may be hung from the suspended ceiling using T-Bar hooks, which will be provided.  All decorations must be removed at the end of the event unless other arrangements are made.

Current pricing for Irish Hall is Rental $199.00 + HST per session (9:00AM–5:00PM) or (6:00PM –1:00 AM) Note prices subject to change but firm once rental agreement is executed.

Short duration events, e.g. Afternoon Baby Showers, day or evening Business / Association Meetings, etc. are priced based on duration and requirements, contact us.

BIS Caterer: The BIS maintains a contractual relationship with a well-known local chef.  Standard and custom 2,3 & 4 course meals and buffets can be provided.  Contact us for details.
